‘Food from Michelle’s kitchen’ is a place to share my recipes, share my knowledge of food, and to inspire people to cook.
Though I no longer spend my days cooking in professional kitchens, a 15 year career as a chef produced a strong and deep appreciation for quality ingredients, cooked with minimal fuss, and a profound respect for food.
From a chef to a food editor I spent 7 years writing and developing recipes (and eventually styling them too), which were published weekly in Who Magazine Australia.
It would be safe to say most of my life I’ve been immersed in the world of food. What a privilege that is.
I’m fussy about where my food comes from, how fresh it is and how it makes me feel – a true foodie in every sense of the word. On a daily basis I prefer to cook my own food as I know its origins and its quality, its wholesomeness and its taste.
A lot of my recipes are plant based, because that’s how I like to balance my diet. When I cook meat, I use free-range organic and always in moderation.
I live in Sydney, Australia with my husband and two children.
